Woods - The right piece of wood speaks for itself, so our process begins with selection.Harris By Hand woods are harvested and kiln dried by local farmers.Hundreds of slabs are considered before we start a project, and the winning piece is chosen with great care.The final product is narrated by the natural idiosyncrasies of the wood.

 

Finishes - Harris By Hand uses our own special blend of tung oil, linseed oil, and varnish.The result is an all natural, food-safe finish that’s inviting to the touch.This is a usable, durable finish.Harris By Hand creates functional works of art that can be admired and enjoyed at the same time.

 

Joinery - Harris By Hand celebrates Japanese carpentry through traditional joinery techniques.These joints do not use nails or screws, yet their strength is superior to modern methods.Japanese joinery adds a functional beauty to our work.
